 SNAPCHAT PASSKEYS

  • A passkey is a digital credential linked to your user account that enables you to access your snapchat account without the need to recall a password passkeys offer a higher level of security compared to passwords they utilize the security functionalities already present on your device like face id passcode for apple and touch unlock and pin for android snapchat does not have access to this biometric data  
  • Create a passkey:
  1. Tap in your profile to open settings 
  2. Scroll down to my account and find passkeys
  3. Tap add passkey and follow the instructions in the app 
  • Revoke a passkey: 
  1. Tap in your profile to open settings 
  2. Scroll down to my account and find passkeys 
  3. Tap the x next to the passkey you want to remove or delete the passkey from your device 
  4. After deleting the passkey from the app also ensure you delete the passkey from your device 

  • Current passkeys: 
  1. Tap in your profile to open settings 
  2. Scroll down to my account and find passkeys 
  3. Current passkeys you have already created and enrolled will be listed 
  •  Login using passkeys:
  1. If your device has the passkey stored the passkey pop up will automatically appear once you're on the login screen if for whatever reason the pop up doesn't show up use the login with passkey option from the login screen and follow the on screen prompts if you're using another device use the login with passkey option from the login screen and follow the on screen prompts to sign in with another device by scanning the displayed qr code from the device that has the passkey stored
